What to do on Sunday?
You wake up on Sunday morning in beautiful Amish Country and you think that there is not much to do. Well, let us help you plan your day and stay for a long weekend. After Sunday breakfast at your favorite Amish Country hotel or B & B, take a short drive to Coshocton and visit the shops of Roscoe Village. You’ll find all sorts of interesting purchases from Vera Bradley at Canal Cargo, ladies apparel, wine, fudge, a leather shop and don’t forget the Warehouse Steak n Stein for lunch or dinner.
Or travel north and visit a place where legends live on, the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. The new expansion is fun for the entire family.
Then head on over to Gervasi Vineyard where you can enjoy lunch or dinner any day of the week. Whether it’s in their new Crush House or the Bistro. Both menus will delight your pallet. Be sure to explore the property which is equally and possibly even more breath taking than any we have seen in Napa Valley, California. Participate in a wine tasting, sip some Sangria in one of the lawn chairs by the lake, or enjoy a light lunch on the Piazza (weather permitting).
Perhaps you rented a Harley from Eagle Rider of Cleveland, another great way to experience all that the area has to offer. Many of the wineries featured in the Ohio’s Heartland Wine, Cheese, and Chocolate Trail brochure are also open on Sunday. Ask for a copy at the front desk. Most wineries are happy to ship your selections for you.
From route 39, you are only about 30 minutes away from either of these fun filled day trips.
