You'll find that our restaurants serve the best food and plenty of it. We highly recommend Amish Door, Der Dutchman, Dutch Valley and Mrs. Yoders's Kitchen. Be sure to visit their bakeries. Or see what the chef has prepared at the Inn and Spa at Honey Run if you enjoy fine dining.
But I came to shop, you say? Then don't miss the Amish made furniture at Stone Barn Furnishings, Four Corners, Green Acres, Wooden Leaf, Kauffman's Lawn Furniture and Miller Hickory Rockers. Why not take home an heirloom? You will discover that unique shops line the streets and side roads of Holmes, Wayne, Tuscarawas, and southern Stark Counties. We even have Troll Beads, Vera Bradley and home decor galore. Come experience the Walnut Creek Flea Amish Flea Market or the original Holmes County Flea Market at it's new location. Be sure to pick up a calendar of one of the many beautiful pictures taken in Amish Country by Mr. Doyle Yoder. Or a little further south, visit the shops Historic Roscoe Village in Coshocton. How did they fit that many shops on one street?
You can discover the Heritage of Amish Country and see why the Amish live the way that they do, at Behalt. Don't miss the 265-ft. Mural-in-the-Round depicting Amish and Mennonite heritage and learn why the Amish live the way they do. Did you know that you can visit Yoder's Amish Home, a true Amish home. You can even take a buggy ride while you're there. A trip to FAWC (the Farm at Walnut Creek) is something you will find yourself doing every time you revisit Amish County. Imagine having 2 big Percheron horses (breed originally imported from France in 1839) pulling a large wagon with you and your friends and family around 60 plus acres.
